A little care keeps your winter favourites looking their best.
Genuine sheepskin and leather need gentle handling. Follow your item’s care label and product-specific instructions first; the advice below covers everyday storage, drying and light surface care.
Store with space to breathe
Keep your purchase in a cool, dry place, away from prolonged sunlight and direct heat. Give hats room to retain their shape and hang outerwear on a broad, supportive hanger. A breathable cover is preferable to a sealed plastic bag.
Let damp pieces dry naturally
If your item becomes damp, allow it to dry at room temperature with good air circulation. Avoid radiators, hair dryers and other direct heat sources. Do not rub or brush wet sheepskin.
Clean gently
For light surface dirt, allow the material to dry, then use a soft brush suitable for its finish. Avoid soaking, household detergents, bleach and solvents. Use specialist care products only when suitable for your item, follow their instructions and test a discreet area first.
Leave deeper cleaning to a specialist
For stains or a thorough clean, consult a professional experienced in leather and sheepskin. Washing instructions vary by product; do not machine-wash unless the care label explicitly allows it.
